About Us
An eye test, not a sales pitch
We started as a single counter on FC Road fitting reading glasses, and the thing that kept people coming back was never the frames — it was that the test was unhurried and nobody was pushed into a lens they did not need. Every eye test is done by a qualified optometrist on computerised equipment, and takes about twenty minutes. You get your prescription in writing whether or not you buy from us. Our edging lab is in the store, so single-vision lenses are usually cut and fitted within the hour. Progressives and specialist coatings take two to three days because they are ordered to your exact measurements. If a frame does not suit you, we will say so. That is the whole job.

FAQ
Questions customers ask us
Is the eye test really free?
Yes, the standard eye test is free with no obligation to buy, and you get the prescription in writing to take anywhere. Only the eye health screening, which includes a slit-lamp and retinal check, is charged separately at ₹300.
How long will my glasses take?
Standard single-vision lenses are cut in our own lab and are usually ready in about an hour. Progressives, high powers and specialist coatings are ordered to your measurements and take two to three working days.
Can I use a prescription from another optician or a hospital?
Yes, as long as it is less than a year old and includes your pupillary distance. If the PD is missing we will measure it here at no charge. Bring the prescription with you or send a photo on WhatsApp.
What does the warranty cover?
One year on manufacturing defects in the frame and on lens coatings peeling or crazing. It does not cover accidental damage, scratches from cleaning with a shirt, or a lost pair. Adjustments, nose pads and screws are free for life on anything bought here.
Can I return them if I don't get on with them?
Frames can be exchanged within 15 days in unused condition. Lenses ground to your prescription cannot be resold, so they are non-returnable, but if you are struggling to adapt to a new progressive, come back — that is usually a fitting adjustment, not a wrong lens.
Do you do home eye tests?
For elderly and mobility-restricted customers we test at home by appointment within the city, at no extra charge on a purchase. Call or WhatsApp to arrange one.
How often should I get my eyes tested?
Every two years for most adults, annually if you are over 40, diabetic, or your prescription has been changing. Children should be tested every year while their eyes are still developing.
